manufacturing facility using biofermentation technology.
Dihydroxyacetone
Widely used in self tanning formulations,
dihydroxyacetone reacts with the keratin protein to produce a temporary
brown colouration of the skin.
Citrepel Chemian's
naturally derived insect repellent. This has shown favourable results in
research formulations. A number of commercial formulations incorporating
Citrepel are available. 22nd
September 2007 - Biocide Directive update
Chemian Technology register as
potential participant to complete the Biocide Directive dossier for p-menthane
3,8-diol, thereby ensuring that Citrepel remains within the BPD process
for eventual EU approval as an insect repellent active. A complete
dossier will be submitted some time in 2008/9.
Omega-3 Acids
As a joint venture with Neomega, we market and offer
Omega-3 acids which are rich in DHA (Docosahexaenoic Acid) and EPA (Eicosapentaenoic
Acid). These are offered as capsules, powders and oils and are used
extensively as nutrient supplements.
